Boston is the place where it all began 14 years ago. From a summer program that started with a small sign-up table in the Common, we are proud to have grown to an organization that is working with middle-school students at 8 different locations in Boston. To date, we have worked with 8,000 students in Boston and the numbers are growing steadily.
We know that what we do makes a difference. We see it every day in the lives we touch. We cannot do it without our apprentices; our Citizen Teachers, who are phenomenal volunteers who are truly the best Boston has to offer; our incredible teaching staff that comes to Boston from all over the country; and our many corporate and individual supporters.
Welcome to our Citizen Schools family. Feel free to contact us if you have an questions or comments about Citizen Schools Boston.

Spring 2009 WOW! Season was a huge success! Apprentices built solar cars and designed urban gardens. They produced videos about community & historical issues and cooked their way to a healthy lifestyle. They argued legal cases to judges and practiced Martial Arts and outdoor survival skills. And they put it all on display for the community!
